Below is the latest illustration for the Leinster Leader, due to be published on the 26th of February. The article is about the recent phenomenon of 'ghost' estates (housing estates built by over-eager developers before the recession that have only sold a few, if any, of their units). In Ireland the good times were known as the days of the 'Celtic Tiger', so I have drawn a Celtic Tiger walking off - to symbolise the recession - looking back regretfully at his legacy; a big pile of For Sale signs and advertising hoardings for the estates.

Here's the tearsheet for the Credit Union illustration for the Leinster Leader

I was commissioned to produce this image to accompany an upcoming article in the Leinster Leader that relates to the state of the Credit Unions in Ireland during the recession. Apparently they aren't doing brilliantly, but nowhere near as badly as the banks, so the illustration shows the Credit Union in reasonably calm waters compared to Irish banks, which are drifting off into stormy waters. I'm very pleased to have received this commission as it is the first I have done for an Irish publication. I'll post a tearsheet of the printed article when I get it.
